Kez Watson, David Carr and Steve Tafra formed the group ‘Trì (pronounced ‘tree’) in 2017, following the success of a variety of collaborative musical projects as individual professional musicians and fellow band members. Featuring fiddle, mandolin, uilleann pipes/whistle/flute, banjo, accordion and guitars; Trì perform song and dance tune arrangements inspired by traditional and contemporary Celtic music repertoires from around the world. The trio attends to programming details and pertinent tune selection based on performance/function setting, venue type/staging, audience context, Celtic region specialities and entertainment requirements. They will even arrange your favourite Wedding/celebratory tunes to perform!

Pajajaran is a dynamic 10-piece Australian ensemble who perform traditional, modern and ‘fusion’ repertoires associated with the haunting bamboo flute and gamelan degung music of West Java, Indonesia.
Pajajaran’s contemporary compositions/arrangements are the primary developmental focus of the Armidale community group. These are nfluenced by elements of Western rock, celtic, folk, classical and traditional Indonesian musical genres; incorporating lively Sundanese style drumming, pop-Sunda grooves and a variety of Western and Indonesian instruments/combinations including: bamboo flute (‘suling’), saxophone, viola and fiddle.

Pastor & Purcell (Helena Pastor & Chris Purcell) are a singing songwriting team. Poems and tunes come together and transform into songs you think have always been in your head. Helena’s soulful story-telling voice draws you in to tales of heart and home and life. Chris joins in with harmonies and choruses that surprise and uplift and soothe all at the same time. Singing a mixture of their own songs and artists such as Bob Dylan, The Carter Family, The Beatles and some back-porch blues.

Wikipedia The duo Pthalo Blue, (Rach and Lynzz) launched recently as a musical collaboration traversing a wide range of styles; 1920’s popular songs, jazz songs, reversioned recent pop, blues, folk, funk, originals and anywhere in between. They have been known to sport guitars, ukulele, double bass, Brazilian cavaquinho, hand percussion, banjo, etc. The duo is constantly evolving and exploring new repertoire. Either way, what they do is never static and no doubt keep many guessing. You can catch them most Open Mic nights (Wed 8:00) at the Newie.

Two characters from a small town started becoming musically inclined. They figured out that music together is better than music alone and so decided to start Cat-has-trophy. Being a freshly created duo, these two create sweet covers because so many great songs already exist as well as some original usually acoustic tunes.

The Cary Bennett Trio
The Cary Bennett Trio performs classic popular music from the 1930 through to the 1960s, songs made famous by Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby, Fats Waller, and others. This band would be perfect for special events or occasions including weddings, anniversaries, cool dance parties, lounge entertainment, restaurants and cafes, corporate functions, or any sophisticated or casual event requiring discerning music.
The Altones are Al Heeney, Tony Elder and Mick Houlahan who play their own laid back, harmony filled compositions plus a few tasty covers.
